  • In April, undertook a commission from the Council for Cultural Affairs to handle "Research and Analysis of Current Laws Involving the Visual Arts Industry and Assessment of Administrative Measures for Revitalization Proposals in Taiwan
  • On June 11th, completed the revisions of "Taiwan Art Gallery Association's Regulations for Accepting Artwork Authentication and Appraisal" and "Taiwan Art Gallery Association's Regulations for Establishing an Artwork Authentication and Appraisal Committee"
  • Led by Chairperson Liu Huan-hsien (劉煥獻), a delegation visited South Korea to obtain the "sample" data of the commonly used art appraisal system in Korea (marking the 20th anniversary of the appraisal mechanism from 1981 to 2002)

2002

Sponsored by the Council for Cultural Affairs, the Association held a "High-Level Professional Gallery Manager Training Course" at the Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei. They invited Leslie Lund and Anne M. Carley, the instructors with practical experience from New York University, to Taiwan. The course covered gallery management, contract concepts, market marketing, art insurance, copyright, artifact identification, asset appraisal, related regulations, and so on. It provided New York experiences and compiled the teaching content into a detailed 195-page handout

1992

  • On June 8th (Mon.), the "Taiwan Art Gallery Association" was established. The board of directors formed the "Fine Art Authenticity Appraisal Committee Group", with Liu Huan-hsien (劉煥獻) as the convener for the Western painting group and Huang Cheng-chih (黃承志) as the convener for the ink painting group, presided over by Chairperson Chang Chin-hsing (張金星)
  • Due to the increasing demand for market authentication and appraisal, art authentication and appraisal services have been provided since 1992
